Answer LazyTweets directly from twitter
Jumping right in here for the first post. It’s exciting to announce the new feature that allows you to answer directly from your twitter client of choice, no need to even visit the LazyTweet website to answer. You can still leave replies on the site itself, but many find it useful to answer from the comfort of their twitter client.
First, follow the LazyTweet twitter account to see the lazytweet requests in your twitter stream. Once those are flowing, you’ll notice that the lazytweet status will show a [from @user] at the beginning of each one. This is the user that posted the lazytweet request. Once you see one that you’re intrested in replying to, click on reply to create a status update beginning with @lazytweet. Then add the user to the update and add the answer. So, the final result will look something like:
@lazytweet @user The answer to your question is x
This will allow your answer to get picked up by lazytweet and displayed on the original lazytweet page, like here. It also can then be found by the user searching for their replies.
HINT: You can simply type “@lazytweet @user answer” and lazytweet will probably match it up right. But, by clicking the reply button directly (in many clients, including the Twitter web site) will generate a parameter called in_reply_to_status_id that allows us to know for sure which post you’re replying to.
HINT #2: There are “Reply on Twitter” links for every post on the LazyTweet site that will take you to Twitter and generate this all for you, leaving you to just complete your answer.
